Welcome to the Roberts! This venue operates on a two-console system, a Primary and a Backup. This ensures 100% uptime, and if one console goes down, the other seemlessly takes over. The Primary machine is the Remote Processing Unit, or RPU. This racked device is protected In the control booth and acts as the primary link between the cues and the lighting system. The Ion XE20 runs as the backup. Please see the sequence below to ensure that you're starting up and shutting down correctly:
The RPU is in the larger rack in the control booth, further from the door.
After the RPU has started up, you should see User 1 | Primary in green in the lower right hand corner of the screen. If you are presented with startup options, select Primary.
Power Button in the upper right hand corner
The Ion should connect to the RPU and show as the Backup, and you should be all set. If it does not connect to the RPU, follow the next steps.
You may see this error, click on troubleshoot
Should sync and you can get going!
For further assistance with startup, please reach out to a member of the operations team for immediate assistance.
Be sure you're in rehearsal mode before shutting the console off so you can see as you exit.
If anything was parked on, unpark it now. Leaving relays hot overnight is not permitted.
Make sure works and house lights are off from the console so the Paradigm touch panel is the only active controller on the network.
