The loading dock at the Calderwood Pavilion is unable to accept trucks longer than 26 feet. To accommodate trucks larger than this, primarily 53 foot trailers, please seek council from the venue operations team on how to successfully make deliveries for these large trailers.
Most recently in December 2025, this is how we successfully able to park a 53 foot trailer and cab outside the loading dock, please reference the images below.
A moving truck permit is required for this space and should be submitted to the City of Boston no fewer than two weeks in advance. We have had great success working with 3rd party parking permit company Permit Puller. A copy of the successful permit and order from Permit Puller is below for reference. Submitting permits via Permit Puller for both load in and load out at the same time is totally fine, they will pull and post the parking permits at the appropriate time.
If vehicles are parked in permitted spaces when the permit begins, call the Boston Transportation Department at 617-635-3939 and report your issue. You will need the make/model/color/license plate of the vehicle(s) in question along with the address listed on the permit, and possibly the permit number depending on the operator. They will tow these cars within about an hour usually, so if you're planning to load tour truck at 8am, have someone at the venue by 7am to check for illegally parked vehicles and call to have them towed.
Do not attempt to park/unload a truck that does not fit inside the loading dock without prior coordination with Calderwood Staff.
Cab placement location to share with truck driver. Cab should be facing West / enter Warren Avenue from East Berkeley Street
